Finish the year

The next morning, Julia and Lucy wake up at the same time. Julia gently shakes Mike awake. As he stirs, he is woken up by Julia whispering into his ear. He smiles and says just loud enough for Lucy to hear "Sorry, you two have me a bit more spent. Call me though. You have my number. I need to recharge." Lucy and Julia lay on the act of not wanting him to go as he gets dressed. Once he leaves the girls collapse into Lucy's bed laughing.

"That was wild." Lucy says.

"Yeah it was. God we could feel everything." Julia says rolling to face Lucy.

Lucy faces Julia and quickly slaps Julia's boob feeling the sting on her own. Both girls moan with pain for a second. "Sorry needed to check." Lucy says smiling. Soon the girls are getting ready for the day. Their routines seem to blend. It's fast and wild like Julia's but with purpose like Lucy's. Throughout the day, the two find they can talk to each other across campus and even help each other with problem solving. They decide to eat together in the room. Julia ordered a pizza for them.

"I think we are developing a hive mind." Lucy says taking a slice from the box.

"A what? Oh wait. Yeah." Julia says doing the same.

"Do we add to it?" Lucy asks concerned.

"Let's finish the year and see what happens. Just go with the flow I guess." Julia says half physically, half mentally taking a bite.

The last few weeks of class was remarkably easy for both girls. With two brains working on each problem, the girls almost ace each test. They have another night with Mike after they all finished their tests to celebrate.

Lucy's parents come pick her up first. The girls say their goodbyes and learn they can communicate mentally over large distances. While her parents put her college stuff into storage for the summer, Lucy settles back into her childhood bedroom. As she flops down on the bed, a fart sound emanates from under the bed, making Julia laugh from miles away. "Glad to see you too jackass." Lucy shouts down the hall to her brother who would be starting college next fall.
