Stop and look around

You freeze in place. The feeling of dread runs through your body. The silence continues for what feels like eternity.

You wait and wait, and nothing happened.

And finally it disappears. You can hear the sounds of nature returning. You let out a relieved sigh.

Then a stirring pain hits you again, followed by you clutching your butt while jumping from foot to foot. Right, there's still this urgent matter to resolve. And it's even more pressing than before.
