He's in trouble

After a few minutes of chatting with him, Janno thought that Glennon the halfling would make a fine addition to the group.

However, just then, there came a hard knock on the door. Glennon bolted up and said quickly, "They've found me. I must get away!"

This confused the other adventurers.

"What do you mean by that?" Dalia asked.

Glennon hesitated. Then, he said, "Oh, it's probably nothing. I am a rogue after all and our first instinct is to look nervously at an escape route whenever there is some hard knocking. Don't mind me."

With that, the halfling scampered under the bed. "Better to be safe than sorry though."

Kassi laughed at this, but Janno frowned. The rogue could have some baggage that could be too much of a strain for a new adventuring group.

He got up and went to the door and opened it. There, he found three armed guards impatiently waiting. Upon the door opening, the one in front asked, "Have you seen a halfling come this way?" He promptly gave a description that fit a lot like Glennon.

"Er, he sounds familiar," Janno said. "Maybe I saw him in passng earlier today. What seems to be the problem with him?"

"He stole gold from a nearby bank, that's the problem," the guard responded.

Janno thought, uh-oh.
