Head inside

You walk up the stairs and then enter your apartment. It's not exactly fancy, but it's much better than some of the other ones you've seen around the city. As you change out of your suit and tie from work, you hear shouting coming from below. Realizing that Hallie's apartment is right below yours, you stop time and go to investigate after you finish changing. You you pull open the door to Hallie's apartment and walk into the bedroom. There, you see that Hallie has her shirt off, but her bra and leggings are still on. Dan has one hand on her shoulder and the other is raised in a fist.

You realize that Dan is trying to **** Hallie into having sex with him, and are instantly enraged. You think about what you could do while Dan can't fight back, but you know that would be the easy way out. Instead, you walk back outside the apartment door, and restart time after you have closed it. You knock twice on the door, and hear Hallie scream from inside.

"Help! Help me! He's tr-" Hallie is cut off when Dan presumably places a hand over her mouth. Realizing that he won't let up, you throw open the door and storm inside. In the bedroom, Dan is on top of Hallie and has her pinned. When she sees you, she instantly looks at you, silently pleading.

"GET OUT!" Dan shouts once he sees you. You step closer to him and he jumps off of Hallie, throwing a punch that misses your head but clips your shoulder, which sets him off balance. You use this to your advantage, and throw your fist into his chest. Dan backs away in pain, but then lunges at you again. This time, he connects with your face and you feel a burning sensation in your cheek.

"You're fucked," you say as you turn to face him. You both swing at each other, but you hit first. Dan is punched square in the jaw, and is knocked **** when he hits the floor.

Hallie is still on her bed, sobbing. Once she realizes that Dan can't get up to hurt her, she looks up at you.
