Say good morning to a brand new day.

You slowly open your eyes to the sunshine peeking through the window. There's a comforting warmth to this morning. Birds are chirping just outside, and you had a wonderful time last night with Eva. What's strange though is the ceiling you swore looked different before. You were tired then though. It's probably just your imagination. You start to turn, but the bed is firmer than before. You glance around, and realize you're actually under a blanket but on a futon on the floor.

How did I get down here? Did something else happen last night?

After turning fully to your side, you also realize Eva isn't beside you. The futon isn't large enough either. But not far away is a second one, and you can see the messy bedhead of Eva poking up from her blanket. As you look, her ears twitch. She starts to roll over to her back with a tired groan.

You reach out with your hand and touch the floor. It feels rough, like compact straw.

"Eva?" you whisper. "What happened last night?"

She slowly turns to face you with a groggy expression. "Kyle... You can't ask a girl that. You know what we did already."

"No I mean like, after that?"

"What do you mean? We went to sleep."

"Then where are we now?"

You watch as Eva goes through the same confused through process you did moments ago. She glances around, pats the floor, and then sits up with the blanket tucked against her naked body to cover up. Her eyes widen as she snaps her head left and right frantically.

That's when you realize why. You sit up and look around, and you're definitely not in the same room as before. It's still small, but there are magic orbs on the ceiling now. No, that's not it. They look like lightbulbs. Between the sounds of the birds is something that reminds you of cars driving by. You look around the room. In every regard, this place resembles what a typical apartment looks like in Japan--at least in anime you've seen. The floor is tatami mat. The door looks like it slides open and closed.

Hey sprite. Are you in there?

You slowly stand up, keeping the blanket around your groin.

She's not answering.

Eva stumbles to her feet as well, keeping the blanket over the front of her body. "Wh-Where are we?!"

"That's what I was asking you. So you really don't remember anything either?"

She shakes her head.

Both of you look to the window. There is no furniture at all in this room other than a dresser beneath it. There are two uniforms folded up neatly, but they're certainly not the ones you were wearing before. You both step closer, and gaze out the window. You can't imagine what Eva is thinking, but for you, it's an incredible shock. You don't feel like you're in Tivera anymore.

Cars. People with cellphones. Streetlights. You gaze through the window in awe. Directly across the street seems to be a huge, multi-story building with an expansive grassy field beside it.

You turn to Eva, who has not only dropped the blanket to the floor, but is holding the unfolded uniform over her naked body just enough to cover it up. It's a sailor uniform--a girl's school uniform you've definitely seen before.

"What are you doing?" you ask.

"H-Hey let me get changed at least! And there is no other clothing. All our stuff is gone."

Damn it. She's right. Where's my ring? My sword? This is bad.

"You didn't even warn me!" You sigh and turn away. "I've seen you naked before you know. Like literally last night."

"That's not the point," you hear from behind. After a few moments she says, "All right. You can look."

It has a short blue skirt with a white stripe around the hem. The top is white, with a blue collar and cuffs. A tied-up red ribbon is wrapped beneath the collar and around her bust. Though it doesn't show off as much as her usual attire, the top is cut a little low, and there isn't much that can properly hide her voluptuous breasts. You look down her skirt, down her slender legs, and see a pair of knee-high socks, and brown slip-on shoes.

"There's no way. This isn't happening," you mutter and hold your head. Once again, you look over to the window. This time, you open it up, and poke your head out to see.

This is impossible. But it feels so real.

"Hey, Kyle. It's okay. We'll figure out where we are."

"This is all familiar to me, Eva."

"What do you mean?"

"Eva?" You slowly turn your attention back to her. "This is what Earth looks like."
