Knocking on the door

Before I tell my story further, I still have to say something. I am one of the few women who works in this company. The men adore us but sometimes, like today, they are insufferable and impossible to work with. Anyway, on with my story.

I was preparing for the meeting with the sales department when there was a knock on my door. "Come in." The door opened and Dave came in with some files for the meeting. "Nice shoes Michelle" he said when he saw my bare feet. My face turned red and I stammered something on the floor. He smiled and walked away. "Hmm this is strange," I thought, "He just came in on his shoes."
