After careful consideration, Chris chose against taking control of her at the moment.

It might look suspicious if people saw him head inside without her, so he would wait until she asked him over herself and then take control of her. As such, Chris headed inside and found the house empty. Not surprising, since despite it being the middle October it was surprisingly warm today. That meant his stepmother could only be in one place.

He headed into the kitchen, which had large glass windows and doors that allowed him to see into the back garden. There, he spotted Lucy. She was next to the pool, laid out on a sun-lounger in nothing but a white bikini. She was reading a book and appeared to be focusing on it, though Chris couldn't tell with her sunglasses on.

Chris stopped staring before he was caught and turned to the fridge, taking out a soda he could drink before he realised he had a golden opportunity. "Lucy fears you."

Chris had not been expecting that. "Come again."

"She fears what you will do if anything ever happens to your father." Chris was still confused. "She fears that if your father dies, you'll inherit everything and kick her and Kira out."

"Why would I do that?"

"She fears you see her as a gold digger, only interested in your father for his money."

"Well...isn't she?" He had always assumed she hadn't married his dad for his 'dashing good looks and personality'. When he was actually home, his dad and stepmother hardly had the most meaningful conversations.

"She does want his money, but not for herself. She wants it for her daughter."

Chris raised an eyebrow. "Elaborate."

"Lucy was never the brightest girl her age, her looks really being the only thing going for her. She expected to latch onto some smart man and live off him while raising a family, that being the only thing she ever really wanted. But then she got pregnant, leading to her parents kicking her out. She was **** to live on her own, using the little money she had saved up from part-time jobs, birthdays and inheritance to survive through the pregnancy and have the essentials she needed. But after that, she and Kira were dirt poor. She was **** to work three lower paying jobs in order to make ends meet."

Chris didn't know that. He did know his stepmother wasn't on speaking terms with her parents, but never asked why.

"This meant she had very little time to spend with Kira, something she hated. And the little money they had meant she couldn't give Kira what she thought her daughter deserved. It definitely wouldn't be enough to send her to college, making Lucy fear Kira would never get to live a better life. Eventually, she managed to score the job at your father's company. It payed just a little more then all three of her other jobs combined and meant she could have more free time with Kira. But it still wasn't enough for Kira to go to college."

"So she seduced my dad."

"Yes. She feared Kira may be **** to work a menial low paying job like her, or end up marrying someone she didn't love, just to survive. Not wanting that to happen, Lucy did that herself and managed to snag your father. She cares about him, trusts him and respects him for giving her daughter a better life. But she doesn't love him."

"I see," Chris hummed before turning back to stare at her. "So she's kept her distance-"

"Because she doesn't want to do anything that might make you kick her out. She was worried being nice to you would cause you to think she was sucking up to you, so she's kept herself from interacting with you as much as possible to prevent that."

"Well that backfired," Chris sighed. If she had been nice to him, he would have started seeing her as his real mother.

Thinking ahead, Chris wondered what he would have done if the Mega Bracer wasn't in the picture and he remained unaware of this info. Would he have let the girls stay if his father had died or would he have chosen to kick them out. He couldn't really be sure. But now he was.

"Time to put things right." Chris hit the button, "you're not scared of your stepson. You know he wouldn't kick you out, so you don't have a problem treating him nicely." He kept thinking and decided to change their history. "You've always treated him like you have Kira, ever since you first met." Wanting to see how these changes would effect her, Chris gave one final command. "Finish off your drink and come inside."

He watched as she grabbed her drink again and gulped it all down before getting up and heading towards him, Chris trying to act as casual as possible.

"I guess you've got a point," Chris nodded. "But I don't need anything fancy. Just something to get me from A to B is fine."

"I'll have a talk with your father when he returns." Chris nodded against and watched as she headed for the fridge, her sexy ass swaying from side to side.
