Chapter 11 by Cyberweasel89 Cyberweasel89

Group up with Aria and Kiran?

Party time!

You tug at Graham's trousers peeking out from between his greaves and tasset, smiling brightly up at the tall Adventurer. "Please, Master? Can we party up with them? Please?" you beg.

Graham sighs. "Against my better judgment... I cannot say no to Kohaku. I am Graham. It is a pleasure to meet you, Aria. It is a pleasure to meet you, Kiran."

Aria grins. "Charmed, I'm sure! C'mon, we'll take ya to our inn!"

You pad along beside Graham while Aria and Kiran lead the way. The snow elf practically skips along the road, all the dregs of society giving the Adventurers a wide berth. Kiran, however, looks more subdued and demure. You notice she keeps stealing glances back at Graham and you, but you can't quite figure out why...

You notice the beginning of sunset just as you arrive at the inn. It looks like a dirty wooden two-story building with bars on the windows... Yikes.

Stepping inside, the sahuagin woman at the counter looks up at the two ladies entering the inn, then goes right back to knitting her... sock. Okay... She doesn't say anything as the two Adventures lead Graham and you upstairs.

"Doesn't the innkeep mind that you're bringing two more people to stay in your room?" you ask.

Aria giggles. "Nah, this is a Bandit Town. You don't ask questions, you don't start shit you don't expect to have to finish. Besides, we rented a room for four since it was the only one left, and the price was for the room, not per person."

Oh... Made sense.

The room itself is small and dirty, with four beds in the four corners of the room and little more. A pile of stuff against the far wall suggests guests are meant to just dump their gear on the floor rather than store it. As if you prove this theory, you see Aria throw her bag, bow, and quiver on the pile in such a nonchalant manner you wonder if the snow elf is used to staying in Bandit Towns.

Aria plops down on one of the beds, whipping her hooded mantle off and pulling her thigh-high boots down. Kiran just goes and sits on her own bed, hands in her laps and gazing down with a thoughtful expression. It's as Aria reaches to lift her tunic up that Graham clears his throat.

"Should you really be disrobing while I am here?" he asks.

The snow elf grins.

What's she about to say?
