Aria's First Day

Aria was standing in front of a modern looking building, it had red bricks at the side of the walls with two story glass panels. The front was adorned with nice looking trees, benches and shrubbery, giving the building a cozy look, as if everything is calm, laidback and the occupants had no worries at all.

Aria felt butterflies in her stomach as she read the company's logo next to the entrance "Random Name Studios" it read. She wasn't new to the industry, she had her share working for big gaming companies and a few smaller indie studios but this was something in-between.

She was only 25 and she considered herself a gaming industry veteran, she worked on anything from being a code monkey, to designing, running her own team, even doing some modelling work as her body and likeness was implemented in one of the games as the "hot chick". She felt pride in that last part, while she was confident in her skills, but it was somewhat nice to know your looks are an asset too and you're well off there as well.

Regardless, for all of her skills, experience and confidence, she still felt like a kid stepping up to first grade on the first day, hoping they'll make any friends, of course that will be tougher when she comes as an outsider to now manage most of the people who were in the building.

Aria stepped in to find the building mostly silent, Anthony had mentioned most of the staff would be doing the bulk of their work from home today, while others were in different events and so on, summer being conference season. She received a few curious looks from some of the rooms, while nobody really bothered themselves with finding out who she is or what she's doing.

As per Anthony's email, Aria went up to the second floor, looking to find the CEO's office and the assistant that should be nearby. A CEO sign, with "John Silberschwert" written beneath it, that was hanging outside an office door told Aria she was in the right place. She knocked on the door only to hear some weird noises coming from inside. "Yeah?" She heard a woman's voice from the other side of the door. Aria opened the door to find a young woman of a similar build and height to her picking up papers and office utilities from the floor.

"Sorry if I startled you" Aria said to the other woman, noting the woman was dressed in a pencil skirt with a simple black blouse, her attire was fairly conservative but Aria could see what amazing curves that girl had. Her hair was lush, dark and wavy, her big hazel eyes were captivating for Aria, simply put there was a beautiful woman in front of her.

"Oh it's fine I was just... Nevermind" the brunette smiled a big smile, blushing a bit, "You must be the new producer, right?". Her demeanor was pleasant and as she picked everything up she returned to her desk, on the desktop screen Aria noticed a video game character, specifically the one modeled after her. The assistant followed her gaze and an 'oops' expression jumped to her face.

"Yes, this is a bit creepy, I was following up on you" she said, "I had no idea the dynasty princess was actually modelled after you" she continued, doing a quick sizing up of Aria's body, "They weren't that far off with the measurements from what I can tell, might need a close inspection to confirm" she added in a bit of a lower voice, much more sultry and seductive. Aria could feel her cheeks redden.

"Oh, I'm Layla, by the way" the brunette finally broke the awkward silence and offered her hand, aria shook it and was delighted by how soft it was, she was sure she seemed flustered and she could feel heat coming up her chest, but she couldn't do anything but follow the Mediterranean brunette, specifically looking at her shapely behind, as she took her for a tour of the company premises.
