A Happy Surprise

Cole took a deep breathe as he turned the knob on the door. He sighed in relif when he saw D'Shawna sitting in the room.

"Baby boy I'm so happy to see you here. Come on give your girl some sugga."

Cole laughed as D'Shawna picked him up in a huge hug lifting him of his feet. "How, what are the odds? Will you put me down, you goof? You ladies always think with your muscles."

"Coach said she had my back that she made sure I got a good partner for this. Damn though I feel like I won the lottery."

"I thought it was all random." Cole said, bewildered

"Please babe, think about it. I'm a commodity to this school they want me to get into a good college to raise their stock. They couldn't risk me stuck with some bimbo or some fanboy who is going to drag me down. Besides who cares lets just enjoy our luck."

"So I guess I'm your husband this year." Cole said with a laugh. No don't embarrass yourself it's just a school assignment don't read to much into it, he thought. "So now what?" Cole asked, and no his voice didn't raise up a little at the end.

"Well we are supposed to be getting to know each other so come here and lets talk." D'Shawna patted her lap

Cole blushed as he sat on D'Shawna's lap and felt her strong arms around him.

"So since I babbled about my dreams this morning, I think it's your turn." Cole laughed nervously.

"Well I am hoping to get a scholarship from football since that's my best sport. I know probably won't make it to the NFL but I can at least make it to a decent school. I'll probably study business I just need to get a good job so I can take care of Gramps and my Dad. And relax Cole I'm not going to bite unless you want me to."

Cole slapped her while laughing. "Stop it jerk" but he relaxed into her arms and they spent the rest of the period talking and laughing until the bell rang. Cole groaned "Ugh I've got AP biology now. I don't want to go I'm comfy."

"Come on Dr.Cutie I'll walk you to class see you at lunch my darling." D'Shawna smirked.

"Stop teasing you jerk." Cole laughed and held his arm out which D'Shawna wrapped his arm around.
