Amber was shocked to find out how many women had carried her dad's children, millions maybe. Kira pulled out a picture of Beyonce, and mentioned she had been one of them, and she and her family had been close to them.

Then she saw their wedding photos, and Kira showed her daughter a celebrity magazine she had kept, which was also very old and carefully preserved in a plastic sleeve. Inside were pictures of her mom and dad getting married, in almost royal style, but there they were, looking just like they did at present times.

John was gentle in how he told the story, and Kira chimed in and helped, but they explained that Kira was John's biological daughter and that something which science had never explained had happened which had cured the disease which had threatened the world so long ago.

They explained carefully how it had changed them, made them heal faster, stopped them from aging, and had given them stronger senses, and even empathy. They felt both fear and excitement as Amber heard that she had much of these increased abilities, just not the age.

"Are you sure you want this?" Kira asked her daughter, "it isn't always great, or even good. We have watched everyone we know grow old and die. Your dad is 163 years old, I am 145 years old, we have seen a lot baby."

"How has this worked? Living this long, when everyone around you ages and you don't?" Their daughter asked.

"When we were asked to provide the cure, we were paid for our services," John replied. "It was a lot of money. Hundreds of billions of the old US and European currency. And when we figured out we were not aging, we moved off the grid and I started moving our assets around."

Amber had doubts, they didn't seem to be wealthy, not like that. Not living a simple country life with mostly farm-raised food.

"We own property all around the world," Kira replied to her daughter. "Your dad and I plan where we are going to live next, and we have caretakers hired to prepare our new homes for years in advance."

Amber walked over to her mom, looking closely at her eyes, her skin, and her hair. "I can see it now, you look the same as you did before, you look a lot like me," she gently caressed her mother's shoulder.
