Ask him why

"Sorry? Is.... Is that part of the audition?", you ask, flabbergasted. Suddenly, you feel a lot more tense than you already were.

"Of course it is, dear", he replies calmly. "We need to see you act naturally. The cameras pick up anything and everything, and we need to see your true self."

You stare at him, not believing your ears. Does he seriously expect you to start undressing? You try desperately to justify his demand in your mind. Surely he just wants to see if you feel any hesitation in front of a camera? Certainly, a lot of professional actors do need to get undressed for certain scenes, and perhaps he would hold it against you if you weren't prepared to do what the role might demand of you?

You nod slowly to keep him appeased and try to gather your thoughts as you decide what to do.
