A Fellow Hero

Sam always tried to choose people in need of punishment for his dark need. Generally this meant taking advantage of super villain he'd knocked ****, but of late all his conquered enemies had been men. Afraid to leave things to chance and risk losing his powers he sat thinking of others who might deserve his punishment.

Then all at once it struck him, the world wasn't just full of super-villains, it was also full of superheroes, many of whom fell short of the high bar he set for his community. There were plenty of super heroines who consistently failed to stop their evil counterparts, or clearly only became heroes for the sake of fame. Not to mention those who killed their fallen foes or broke the law in their crime fighting duties. Sam could set these women right, he decided right the and there, while also ensuring that he, the greatest of all heroes, would be able to keep his powers.

Flying away Sam mentally patted himself on the back for once again finding a way to turn his unsightly necessity into a chance to improve the world.
