School trip, here we come!

The annual school trip was coming up. Egypt! All those pyramids! The ancient buildings and artifacts! This is a trip that you knew you had to go on. But you knew only a certain few were selected to go on this trip. Firstly, it was prohibitively expensive to send more than a few students on the school trip each year. And secondly, they did not want to overly disrupt the curriculum. Therefore, the best students were typically chosen to go, because the teachers knew that they would not fall behind in their studies.

You are far from a poor student, but there are definitely many people in your school that have better grades than you do. But there must be some way to be chosen!
