Four Months Later (one outcome)

They say practice makes perfect, and third times the charm. As Suki looked at the small plastic stick in her hands, she knew that those were both true. She'd missed her first period almost four months ago and only know was taking the test to confirm she was in fact expecting. Leaning back in her chair in her private office, a hand resting on the swell of her belly, she took a sip of her coffee. She knew exactly how this had happened, knew that it wasn't her husband's child (they'd not slept in the same bed in close to six months), but her step son's. There was no way she could seduce her husband and make him think it was his, not this far along. And coming clean, admitting that Alex had been fucking her these past few months, her husband would have every right to divorce her, shame her publicly for being an unfaithful whore. And truth was, as much as she loved her step-son, loved how he made her feel, made her feel like she was young again and in love, the term 'unfathful whore' was not far off. She'd cheated on her husband, put herself willingly in another man's bed, let him bareback her, didn't use protection, and worst of all, with her own step son.

But what other option did she have? It wasn't John's and unless she could somehow talk him into accepting this child growing inside her, convince him a divorce would be a messy affair and would make him loose face, having your wife cheat on you with another guy was a smack in one if ever there was, and convince him to adopt the child privately, claim he fathered the kid with her. That the answer to her dilemma might be just down the hall hadn't entered her mind.
