Look around

Your platform is pretty bare. Aside from the metal ring anchoring the chain connected to your collar, the only things present are your bath and toilet, and your food bowls. There's no shelter or anything, and you can't help but notice that the whole thing is prominently featured and colour-coordinated in peach and pink tones, like you're on display.

The rest of the room is filled with toggles and switches and screens whose functions you couldn't begin to guess. They're clearly designed for the many-limbed jellyfish creature that's taken possession of you; no human would be able to operate them. Aside from the airlock you were brought in through, the room features one more door to another area. It's closed; you can't see what's inside. A large transparent dome over the top of the spaceship, which had looked like solid metal from outside, reveals the rest of the spaceport; it's positioned so that your owner can see through it clearly, but it's frustratingly too high for you, allowing you to see only the spaceport roof.

Your owner does something complicated with six different switches at once, and the spaceship starts to descend. It takes you a moment to realise what's happening; you're descending into an airlock that was underneath you. The top door closes and, about thirty seconds later, you're dropped into space.

You don't feel the inertia of the drop. Even your bathwater doesn't move. It's as if the space station suddenly flung itself away.

The space station itself looks like a massive ball of metal from the outside, too big to even really see as a ball until you're quite some distance away. It's the size of a city. And beyond it, stars.

Your owner flicks a few more switches, then disappears into the other room.
