The first appointment.

In her calendar app, under 10:00 AM, Beth read the entry entitled:

Ah yes, Ms. Leona Jepsen. The 34-year old retired lingerie model was an affluent housewife in Orange. She had married Peter Jepsen, a successful film executive, and was one of Beth's best customers. She liked to be pampered, and when Beth had begun offering in-house services, Leona had leaped at the opportunity to have her "favorite masseuse" in the comfort of her home.
Peter himself occasionally got a massage, but if she remembered correctly, Peter was in Vancouver, "working on a picture," as he would have put it.
Beth made the drive to the Jepsen's 2,700 square foot home in Orange for the appointment.

Mr. Tom Harden was a 40-year old Lexus salesman, and a pretty good one, if his nice house in Santa Ana was any indication. He was married to a beautiful 33-year old real estate agent, Kim, and had been for 8 years, though they had no kids. She often looked at the two of them as romantic role models, they always seemed so cute together whenever she was working there. Tom was a hard working man, and so he often needed deep tissue attention.
Beth drove to the Harden's cute little place in Santa Ana.

Beth smiled. She loved this particular pair of clients. Jenny Dahlia and her fiancee Peter Collins were 20-something young professionals, just like her and Brian. They were new clients at the spa, and recently had started getting couples massages in their modest Tustin home, very close by where Beth and Brian themselves lived. They were a nice picture of what she and Brian had been.... before work had consumed Brian's life.
She was looking forward to this couples' session as she arrived at their apartment.
