Ready, but delayed

Lex continued to ponder these questions when it occurred to her. Bianca wasn't hungry, just horny. Wait, does a succubus just get horny? Hm, come to think of it, she didn't know anything about a real succubus. Perhaps Bianca wasn't dangerous at all. Those thoughts quickly vanished from her mind as Bianca began to pout, looking concerned as she said. "Is something wrong, Lex? You've been staring out into space for about a minute." Lex shook her head and replied. "No, just thinking." Bianca wrapped her arms around Lex's waist and pulled her close. "Having second thoughts about having fun with me?" She asked, looking up into Lex's eyes, her eyes widened as she leaned in slightly, continuing to speak a bit more enthusiastically. "Oo, your eyes are pretty. I didn't realize you had Heterochromia." Lex blushed before saying. "Yeah, um, I am a little self conscious about it." Bianca kissed Lex's chin before saying. "Well, don't be, beautiful. It is a rare gift. Think of it like this. If the eyes are the windows to a person's soul, wouldn't a person with eyes of two different colors mean they were a rare individual with two souls?" She playfully smiled before pulling back from Lex. Lex hadn't really thought of it that way, finding herself blushing before shaking her head and said. "Mm, that is sweet of you, but I am sure that isn't it."

After a moment of chuckling, Lex decided to not let this drag on in the parking lot. "Let's go. Just follow me to my place." She said, moments before they went to their cars, soon leaving the parking lot.

Roughly 15 minutes later, something caught Lex's attention, an odd black van was tailing them. Hmm, the reason it took her so long to notice was the most worrisome part, their lights were off. They were still about 5 minutes away from her place when that van's lights turned on, speeding up drastically while heading towards her, almost hitting her car. She veered off the road and into the driveway of the local cemetery, causing her car to bottom out with a hard scraping sound, sending a shockwave of pain through her spine. - 1 Hp She ended up several car length's into the driveway, allowing Bianca to pull up behind her. As Lex put her car into park and looked around her car, seeing if everything otherwise all right there was a knock at her door. She blinked, turning to see Bianca's friendly, but worried face. Lex pressed the button to lower the window when a notification appeared.

You have entered an Illusion Barrier: Trap

"Are you okay, Lex?" Bianca asked, but her look of worry changed as soon as that notification appeared. "Not now.." Bianca said, turning around before continuing to speak. "I don't know who you are, but I don't want to fight you. Just let me and Lex go. We don't mean you any harm." Lex couldn't see who Bianca was talking to, but she managed to say. "W-we're in an illusion barrier, trap. Whatever that means." Bianca leaned back slightly and whispered. "You are new to the Abyss? Well, this is bad news. I don't have much time to explain but, it means whoever made this illusion barrier most likely wants us dead."

A moment later, they both heard laughter coming from the street behind them, a figure stepped out from the black van parked there. Lex got out of the car to stand beside Bianca as the figure stepped into the light of a street lamp. She could see a tall white man with blond hair, dressed in simple white robes. She watched him a moment, using Observe on him as he began to speak.

"I am Victor Smith, a humble servant of the light. I know this demoness has lured you with her devilish charms, but fear not, little lamb. I am here to break you free from her wickedness. I will lead you back to the light and into God's divine grace." Lex felt a chill down her spine as he spoke. Even though she tried not to judge anyone, this was just plain creepy. She felt it was an odd twist on an old story, was the demon really the good guy here? Seriously, she felt much safer with Bianca than Victor. Bianca looked to Lex and said. "Please, just get out of here, Lex. It appears he is only here for me." Lex felt a little shaken, her heart felt all aflutter. Bianca's gesture was rather moving to Lex, so Lex replied "I-i can't just leave you with him. He'll kill you." Bianca's F score ticked up to 70. At that moment, they both heard the sound of fists smacking together from Victor's direction. Lex couldn't believe her eyes when she saw his clothing was burning from the center of his stomach outwards, quickly changing from simple white robes to a full set of plate armor, covering everything except his face. He had a long silver sword with a golden hilt in his right hand and a round red mirror shield, roughly the size of his arm in diameter in his left. Bianca growled as she moved a hand to Lex's chest and pushed her towards her car, saying. "I'll be fine, but you are a distraction. Please, run. I don't want you to get hurt."

Lex felt hurt by this suggestion, but she didn't have any way to fight as of yet. She looked down slightly as she said. "If I had a weapon, I could fight." Victor's F score dropped down to 0. Bianca let out a sigh as she snapped her fingers and the trunk of her car opened. "I have a few weapons I was planning to sell in my trunk. If you mean that, pick one to help me. If not, keep it as a way to remember me." She said, jumping back 10 feet, barely dodging a fiery strike of Victor's sword. Lex's eyes widened and thought, 'Holy crap!? When did his sword gain a fiery aura?'. She pressed back hard against her car in reflex before quickly making her way to the back of Bianca's car. She needed to hurry, Victor was keeping pace with Bianca, who was doing her best to evade his ****. When Lex got to the back of Bianca's car she looked inside. Hmm, she saw several items: a boombox, a carjack, and a few grocery bags, but not a single weapon. Wait, there was a rather large blanket in the center, covering something. She pulled back the blanket, revealing three different weapons: a knife, a chakram, and a quarterstaff which she quickly decided to use Observe on.

Observe:

Astaroth's Knife: 5 damage + Strength Modifier. 100% of the damage dealt is absorbed by the wielder as healing. Reduces damage taken by 5%. Durability 55/55

Xena's Ying and Yang Chakram: 5 damage + Strength and Agility Modifier. This weapon has a 50% increased chance to critically strike the target when hitting a different area. Durability 85/85

Mother Earth's Quarterstaff: 10 damage + Strength Modifier. Deals 100% additional damage as nature, ignoring armor. Increases health and mana regen by 2 per minute. Durability 125/125

She had to think carefully, which would be best for her, and helping Bianca out, the knife, the chakram, or the quarterstaff?
