With a shotgun of course

Your first move is to secure a better weapon. Heading into Nicole's parent's room, you open her father's closet. There you find a Remington 870 pump-action shotgun, a zombie-slaying classic. Despite all your Call of Duty experience, you struggle somewhat with figuring out exactly how the Remington works. Once you're confident you can operate the weapon, pocket some shotgun shells and head back to the girls, just as they turn on a radio.

'This not a drill. A biological weapon has been unleashed on the United States of America, and has caused those affected to become incredibly violent. We are advising that everyone stay in their homes. The National Guard is being deployed and is expected to have the situation under control in no time.'

Nicole turns the radio off, and mutters "Are we gonna make it?"

"We'll be fine." Miranda states, before wrapping her arm around Nicole.

"What about the others at Sarah's place?" You ask.

Miranda looks up to you. "Well, I don't think they have a rifle."

"Shotgun." You correct.

After a roll of the eyes, Miranda says "Whatever."

"They might be asleep." Nicole whimpers.

"C'mon. It's only a short trip."

"Should we grab some supplies?" Miranda asks.

"No time. I'm sure Sarah has enough for us to stick it out."

The three of you head out to the car, where you hand Miranda the keys. Sitting in the back, you look around for any other zombies, seeing none. As soon as she gets on the road, Miranda puts the pedal to the metal, speeding towards Sarah's house. You clutch the shotgun tightly, knowing that you'll be responsible for dealing with any threats.
