}Beth pulled up the e-mail titled Interested in you for an upcoming shoot please respond with a quickening pulse. The agency in the "From:" box was well known in the industry and many models had broken in with them.
Castle & Deen Talent had received her portfolio and headshots a few months back, but they had been misfiled until one of their new talent scouts had dug them up. One of their contacts, a photographer named Damien Ross, was very very interested in her, and wanted to get her in for an interview and some first looks for a range of opportunities. The wording was formal and businesslike, but she could almost feel the sincerity radiating off the page. The recruiter had written, at one point "Damien is one of our most particular photographers, and with that discernment comes a high success rate for the models he works with, most of whom go on to either launch successful careers of their own, or else a long a fruitful partnership with Damien himself." The implication being that she had passed muster, at least on first blush, with a very exclusive talent.
The email encouraged her to check out his work, linking a page she could peruse, while offering a list of possible upcoming times next week to interview with Damien at his studio, which she noted from the address listed, was in the heart of Hollywood.
She pulled out her cellphone to punch in the number. She didn't want to go in on a Monday, because she was working at the restaurant that night and didn't want to give herself any time restraints. Tuesday night, she was supposed to go with Brian to see his father, nominally to talk wedding stuff. She could possibly get someone to cover Wednesday's shift. Decisions, decisions. {else

Sure enough, the e-mail was full of praise and flattery, followed by not so subtle attempts at persuasion towards more adult work, especially with toys. He wanted her to do solo porn, basically. Then she read the next sentence, where Damien promised to give her a pseudonym, and that Brian didn't have to know about it. And then he mentioned the money.... almost double the previous contract. Her head spun. That could definitely ease the pressure of both the wedding and maybe Brian wouldn't think he had to try so hard for the partnership...{endif
