Chapter 146 by brevdravis brevdravis

Game Point.

I feel like I've seen this somewhere.

"Why won't you talk to me?" I asked plainly.

"Why wouldn't you give me a chance?" Carla responded quickly.

"Why do you have stupid agreements with your sister?"

"What is that supposed to mean?"

"Don't you know?"

"Don't go there."

"Order. Match is tied at one game all." I tossed back. This was fun. Hadn't done this game in years. I actually was surprised that Carla knew it. It was something that had never come up. "Do you hate me?"

"Why would you ask such a stupid question?"

"Shouldn't we be in bed already?"

"Foul, No rhetorical questions, One, Love." Carla smirked as she stared at me evenly, a soft smile on her face. "Wouldn't you rather quit this game and go to bed?"

"Are you offering?"

"Do you want me to be?"

"What would Kaila think?"

"I really don't ca... FUCK." Carla groaned.

"Statement, One..."

"...One, yeah... got it. Ugh..." Carla nodded. She shook her head slightly and returned her focus to me.

"What happens tomorrow?" I asked quickly.

"Will you forgive her?"

"Will you?"

"Do you care?"

"I... uh..." I tried to think of a question.

"Foul. Hesitation. Two, one." Carla's eyes were sharp now. She seemed to be actually thinking about this far harder than I was. "Do you love my sister?"

"Should I?"

"Do you want an answer?"

"Would I have asked the question?"

"Don't you care about me?"

"Do you want me to?"

"Why haven't you ever tried?"

"Because Kaila told me..." I began softly. "Because Kaila told me you two don't share boyfriends, that I should never, ever joke about a threeway between us."

"Statement. Match." Carla turned, and leaned again against the railing. "Dammit Kaila. She's always telling you the truth, but never telling you what you need to know."
