Kevin joins me

I tried to call my wife as i walked down the drive way, but she didnt answer. I had just climbed in behind the wheel when Kevin opened the passenger side door and joines me. He had a suitcase with him.

"I'm sorry, man," he said softly. "She was supposed to be gone until late tonight. She never shows up like that, unannounced."

"What are we supposed to do now?" I asked.

"I guess get a hotel room and give them a day or two to calm down," he said. "I don't believe Sarah wants a divorce. I think, with a little time, I can get her to accept this."

I wasn't as hopful, so i just nodded and started driving. I drove to the nearest hotel and used my credit card to rent a room for two days. Kevin grabbed his suitcase and we rode silently up the elevator, both lost in our own thoughts.

I used the key card to open the door and we entered. We were supposed to have two queens, but they'd given us a king.
