Chapter 9

What do you do?
Refuse
"I can't go any higher" you say, trying not to sound defiant.
"Of course you can" says the noble, taking your hand and moving it up to his crotch. Your cheeks burn with embarrassment. Behind the thin material of his codpiece, you feel a long, hard bulge. You stay motionless, your hand grasping the noble's package but too terrified to move.
"You're a shy one, eh?" he mocks.
At that moment there is the sound of several hooves making their way into the yard. You quickly withdraw your hand and stand up, noticing the nobleman's smirk.
The hunting party comes into the yard and you quickly set about tending to the horses. The steward greets the nobleman deferentially.
"Lord Kingsale, we had not expected you until the morrow" he says, apologetically "if we had word of your early arrival, we would have prepared a proper welcome".
"That's quite alright" says the noble.
"Have you no retinue my lord?" asks the steward. Usually there would be others travelling with a noble.
"No, I prefer to travel alone. I find it makes one less of a target." replies the noble.
"Very well. Of course, the staff of the manor is at your disposal." says the steward.
"Excellent. The young man just here will suffice. He clearly knows his way around a horse and I'm a keen rider." he says, gesturing to you.
"But my Lord, he is a stable boy, he has no training for service"
"I don't recall asking for your opinion on the matter" says the noble, suddenly stern. The change from his pleasant, easy manner is almost shocking. Clearly, he's not used to being questioned.
"As you wish. We'll have him properly attired." says the steward with a firm glare at you. You take the signal to follow him.

Indentured
The tale of a young man sold by his father
It's the Middle Ages, Saxon Britain. You're the son of a farmer who landed on hard times and sold you to a slaver to pay of his debts. What fate has in store for you from here on in is unknown. While there is more work to be done, there is one plot line that runs all the way to a definite (happy) conclusion. There are several times when the story might end badly for the protagonist, hopefully preserving the feeling of tension when you first select an option. I will be fleshing out the current adventure line before introducing the others, though I'm always happy for others to pitch in, offer suggestions, or demand I work on something specific (not that it's guaranteed I will). I appreciate feed back, whether to offer suggestions or just to tell me if you enjoyed yourself. Feel free to send me a message with constructive criticism or gushing praise (one can but hope ;) )
