Sally offers herself

"You could drink a bit from me" Sally suggests, meekly.

Jessica's jaw drops. After all this girl has been through, she is willing to go through more to help me.

"Look, we need to get out of here, and you need your strength and concentration. I know vampires. If you don't feed soon you'll go crazy" Sally reasons.

Jessica doesn't want to admit it, but she knows that Sally is right. Sally walks up to Jessica, and turns her around, holding her close.

"Sally...I don't know what to say" Jessica says, gratefully. She kisses Sally on the cheek, and Sally follows up with a more passionate kiss on the mouth. Jessica pulls Sally's hair to the side and bites into her neck. The pain vanishes the moment the blood touches Jessica's tongue. She grips Sally's neck and shoulder lightly, biting down harder. Sally moans lightly.

After a few moments of increasingly aggressive feeding, Sally taps Jessica on the shoulder. "Jessica, Jessica, please, please stop, it's too much."

It takes a few moments for the plea to register with Jessica, she is lost in the blood. Stop. STOP. Jessica screams at herself internally, but doesn't stop feeding. She can't. She is like an outsider watching helplessly. She bites down harder, again, and Sally whimpers, her eyes starting to flutter as her pulse weakens. Sally is on the border of consciousness, and Jessica let's her fall to the cold concrete floor. Jessica straddles Sally's waist and resumes feeding. Jessica sits up on Sally's corpse after Sally's heart stops, gasping for air after having drained Sally dry.

Jessica should feel guilty, but she doesn't. Something inside her, some last vestige of humanity, has snapped irreparably. I didn't ask for this and I need blood she thinks. She isn't sure if she is just suppressing her moral instincts, or if she has lost them completely. Jessica doesn't care. She looks down at Sally's corpse indifferently. I'm still hungry she thinks, looking to the floor above.
