You Want Some Alone Time

Much as you want to find a nice private room and fuck your boyfriend senseless, you are still stranded with people who might need your help. Besides, maybe you’ll find a nice private bedroom for later.

“Mark, I’m going to take a look around.”

“Do you want my help?”

“No I’ll be careful. See you in a bit.”

You stand up and make your way down to the basement. Your heels clack on cobblestone stairs and echo through the empty castle. Your phone’s flashlight creates disturbing shadows. It’s a shame you have no service.

The basement is dark, but no colder than the rest of the castle. A bit chilly but not bad with your coat.

You look down a long corridor. It goes on for quite a ways. Not wanting to go too far, or get lost you turn into the first room on the right.

You startle. Apparently, the room is a mausoleum for the less important nobles of the castle. Coffins are strewn about the room, dislodged from their places in the wall.

Most are broken open and looted. Inside them are skeletal remains. Several have sharpened oak rods left in their shattered rib cages. You gather them up. If you are here for a week you’ll need the wood.

One coffin is clearly different from the others. It is far more ornate. Inside is the skeleton of what once must have been a beautiful women. Here formerly ornate dress is now little more than rags.

As you grab the oak sick you wonder who she was.

“Fuck! Damn splinter.” You yell.

You shake your finger, before applying direct pressure to the small puncture.

Well, you have a few hours wood for the fire, you could head back.
