Chapter 2

Where will I go, what will I do?
To the Cliff and later the kingdom
I gazed up in disbelief as my own face gazed down at me also in disbelief. I was the princess now. Some how I had become the princess. There was the tingle and at that my body had changed, but not just my body also my location, my clothing, and perhaps even my soul. If it wasn’t for the clues of my body, I would wonder if I was both people but she also was confused, so I assumed the princess and I had switched. The hug had to trigger it, that had to be it.
I leapt and placed my arms around my body clinging to the armor tightly as if my life depended on my grasp. My eyes were tightly shut, and I prayed to feel the tingle and return to my own body. “What are you doing,” my familiar voice rang softly in my ear.
“I am daring to hope this works. That such a simple thing will return me to my body.” Strong arms pushed me away and held me tight.
“Good, it is you too. I was afraid only I switched bodies… Knight, what is your name?”
“I was Sir Justin Smith, the blue knight… But now I am you and I’d rather be me!”
“Allen, we can fix this at the castle. My father employs a magus, a mage that might be capable of ending the spell. We just must reach the castle.”
“I don’t want to be you that long.”
“My god am I that whinny in that body. Get a hold of yourself, remember you’re a man.”
I sucked up my last tear. “Your right princess. We both must be strong, and the castle is only two days away by horse, and mine is at the base of the cliff. We will simply head to the castle and undo the spell.”
“I am not sure I can reach the base of the cliff with your leg wound. Would it be simpler to head up?”
“Definitely not, but I brought a rope for the decent, it is at the cliff edge in your pack.”
“Good, now from now on address me as Justin or Sir Smith, and I will call you by my name so we don’t draw attention.”
“Princess what is your name, as I am not entitled to call you by it, but at the same time must know what to answer too.”
“Ali, Ali is my true name.”
“Good, now Ali or Justin. For our safety we must act like we aren’t under a spell. The royal court expects the return of a virgin princess, not a knight trapped in your body. Because of this let us speak first to your father and the Magus.”
“Virgin, ha I am no virgin. Why do you think my father was so quick to send me away?” A shocked look was the best reply I could offer. “I succumbed to temptation a while ago, my father found out and was to embarrassed to marry me off. He takes disgrace very poorly. But chances are he’d blame it on the dragon now and I can be married.”
“So then we should skip your father and speak directly to the magus?”
“Probably wise.”
I had enough idle chatter and headed to the entrance fallowed by Ali or rather Sir Justin. I quickly found a steady rock and tide the rope. Before long the two of us were at the base of the cliff. This is when we saw the dragon left less quickly then we thought. My loyal horse was gone, or rather half gone. “Justin,” I said fallowing her or his orders. “We are walking a long ways it seems.”
We started walking in the direction of the town. So the princess isn’t a virgin, and the king is a horrible father. I have learned much so far, although the politics of the royal family didn’t concern me to much. “Justin, your saying you aren’t a virgin?”
“Not true Ali, for now I am saying you aren’t a virgin. Go ahead and check if you want.”
