Chapter 27 by Absentedmindedspirit Absentedmindedspirit

How's her shipment?

Incredible

There in the middle of the warehouse was a cart of rough hewn wood piled three feet high in an exquisite rainbow of shimmering colors that delighted Jorella and filled the entirety of the buckboard.

"You need help, miss?", a stout fellow with a large blond beard asked carefully, wondering who this crazy naked woman was.

"I've been denuded and robbed in this awful town! I just want my shipment! My name is Jorella, my shipment is 4,600 hundred yards of Empress Silk, THAT Empress Silk, she pointed at the wagon piled high with thousands of gossamer sheets.

"Umm...alright Miss, that is what that shipment is, but can we get you password and then signature.", the man thrust a board with a page of parchment on it into her hands, forcing her to drop her barrel to scribble out her signature in haste without even a pretense of reading.

Jorella blushes deeply as she whispers, "My password is...sweet cheeks."

"What Miss? Speak up, hard of hearing.", the man smiled broadly.

"Sweet cheeks!", she shouts and shoves the board back at him as she abandons her barrel and snatches the first layer of exquisite clothing, a field of the purest azure upon which golden stars and moons shine. As lovely as the night sky itself, and Jorella cloaks herself with it, instantly regaining some of her dignity.

With it being FOB Jorella prepares to pull the heavy wagon out b herself, bereft of horses as the man coughs until Jorella finally turns her head to see his hand out.

"It's traditional, Miss, for a good delivery."

"You jackass! You didn't even cover me when I came in! Take it up with your Elf boss, I already paid.", and she huffs away with her farm girl strength, slowly pulling away the laden cart, her big feet grinding into the muck as she exits the warehouse, certain to go back the way she came.

At least these people will see how rich she is. Besides, she desperately needs to return to the inn to pay off her debt before it was too late, and it was much harder going back with her cargo, and much slower.

Jorella worried if she could get there in time to not incur the late penalty she was threatened with, but thinking on it she figured it was next to nothing, "After all, how much can a square inch become when in doubles? A square yard, at most, I might give the poor wretch twice that just to cover her rags!"

Can Jorella make it back in time?
