Robin presses the guard and get's lucky

The lizardfolk guard seemed somewhat suspicious as the three other women closed in on him. His hands casually moved to his spear, not aggressively, but just enough to make sure that they knew her was ready to defend himself. Fuu and Emmaline were mostly concerned with checking on Robin, but Liv met the guard's gaze. Her hands balled into fists. It was clear that she saw him as little more than a **** and a monster, and even unarmed, Liv wasn't the sort to let kind of thing go unpunished.

"Wait! ... wait." Robin said weakly from down below. Liv broke of her staring contest with the guard who, in turn, also looked down at Robin, though his unchanging expression didn't seem to indicate any sort of understanding of what she had said.

With Emmaline's help, Robin climbed to her feet. Still on unsteady legs, she turned to the guard and put on a somewhat weary looking smile. "We're looking for... the arena." Robin said. Her words came slowly through heavy breaths, though she was looking more herself by the second. "I... don't think you heard me... before."

The lizardfolk just stared at her, his face as blank and unreadable as ever.

"Come on, lets get out of here before this guy does something like that again." Liv insisted, stepping closer to the rest of her friends.

"A... re... na" The lizardfolk worked the syllables over with his tongue, his face suddenly shifting into a look of contemplation. Finally, after several tense moments, he pointed his finger, out across the great chasm that split the city.

"Gods he can't even tell what you're saying!" Liv let out an exasperated sigh.

"No... he knows" Robin said confidently, giving the lizardfolk a smile. "And if he's wrong, then I guess we'll just have to ask someone else."

"You're insufferable sometimes." Liv said, but Robin just smiled. With her back on her feet and leading the way, the group began heading off in the direction the guard had pointed them.
