You turn to your new neighbord and in your friendliest tone say, "Hi. It's nice to meet you what is your name?"

The girl seems rather startled. She stops rummaginng through her things and turns to you. "Oh..um..hi my name is Mika," she says quietly, not making eye contact with you.

"Oh that's a nice name," you say. "Are you a new student here? You seemed a bit lost while you were walking in the lecture hall here," you say.

"Oh..yea," she says shyly. "I'm a transfer student so I'm brand new," she says.

'Hmm she's a shy one,' you think to yourself. Maybe I shouldn't bother her anymore.
