Get out, and find help

You dart out the motel room, and sprint to a nearby payphone. Quickly dialing 911, you hear the voice of the emergency dispatch on the other line. "911, what's the emergency?"

"I'm being kept at a motel, by some scumbag who's trying to have his way with me!" gushes Cheryl, all at once.

"Don't worry honey, just stay on the line. We'll send someone right over."

Within a few seconds, Cheryl hears sirens in the distance. It appears the police were nearby.

Ted is led off to a police cruiser in cuffs, and is going to be questioned later by police down at the station. Meanwhile, the police have called for a tow truck and have given you a ride back home.

Although this could have went badly, it worked out well in the end.
