About this Morning

"I'm sorry." She said quietly.

"What for?" I asked, once again clueless as to what she was apologizing for.

"For... for fucking your wife!" Helen's eyes were wide and searching mine. "We were talking and joking... and one thing led to another and... before you know it..."

"You think I'm mad?"

"I saw your face after I was kissing her. I... I didn't realize it would hurt you. I thought that after Charlotte..." Her voice was small now. It was not a sound I had ever heard from her, and I became concerned.

"I'm not mad. It just surprised me." I explained, looking over at where I could barely make out my wife. "I mean, I was a little jealous, but I got over it."

"Jealous?" She looked up at me with a curious look in her eye.

"I mean, I kinda wished..." I felt awkward, and it showed in my voice. "I wish I hadn't left the bed this morning."

"Oh..." Helen responded with a slightly embarrassed smile. "I... I had a lot of fun last night."

"Me too..." I replied, feeling very nervous. It felt like my heart wanted to leap into my mouth, be chewed on a few times, then swallowed again.

"... I wanted to..." She suddenly stopped and stepped forward, pressing her lips against mine. Her lips were warm, soft and I could taste a familiar flavor on them. It took a moment, before I recognized it as the taste of my wife.

I kissed Helen back, my arms coming around her to hold her close to me. We didn't move, just pressing our lips against each other. Our breath came slow, her lips gently trembling and my hands nearly shaking. This kiss was far more intimate than anything we had previously shared. Even our fantasies, our nude bodies pressed together, was nothing compared to this real, final show of affection.

We broke apart for a moment, still holding each other and staring into each other's eyes. I wanted to speak, to tell her something, but the urge to kiss her again took over me, and I dove back into her lips. She responded in kind, her lips parting and her tongue gently teasing at my mouth. I pulled her questing tongue into my mouth, fully tasting her, and sucking gently upon her. She withdrew slowly, and I followed her departure by slipping my own tongue into her mouth. We teased back and forth, the kiss long and passionate. It was a long time before we broke apart, both of us nearly out of breath.

"That..." She gasped, still looking deeply into my eyes. "I wanted... I wanted to do that."

"So did I." I admitted, feeling like something fundamental had changed between us.

"I feel so... confused." Helen complained, her arms still around me. "I love Charlotte, but when I look at you..."

"I don't want to make things complicated for you." I demurred.

"They already are." She gazed at me evenly. "Brent, I'm gay! Ok?"

"I know that. And you're not going to fuck me." I nodded, holding her firm body in my arms.

"I just... I want..." she sighed. "I don't know. There, I said it. I Don't know what the fuck I want. I know that it's fucking weird!"

"Ok, whatever you want." I nodded. "No pressure."

"That's NOT HELPING." She groaned. "Let's just... let's just catch up with the people who aren't over analyzing this."
