You look back up at her as your chuckles subside. “Are you fucking kidding me? Beating on each other until one of us can’t take any more? If you actually expect me to take you up on that, you’re even dumber than I thought—and that’s not easy to pull off.”

Shaking her head disappointedly, the Cowgirl sighs. “And here was me thinkin’ you had some actual balls. I guess it’s for the best—sluggin’ it out with a wimp like you wouldn’t be any fun anyway.” She starts toward you, crossing the ring with long, smooth strides. “So I’m just gonna smack ya silly and then go for a ride.”
