An agent floods the room with a knock out gas

While Becky was busily working away trying to extract the precious nectar from the Island Rose, agents silently prepared the seize the unsuspecting woman. She was so focused on the difficult process of correctly drawing out the nectar, that Becky didn't notice as the door was slowly opened behind her. A canister filled with a special gaseous knockout potion was rolled into the room, and the door shut and locked to stop the gas from leaving, or their intended target form escaping.

The gas, an invention of Lady Dieudonne's head alchemist before his unfortunate passing, was designed from irregular compounds, which would make it difficult to identify. It was also excellent at bypassing most materials meant to block gaseous substances, like gas masks, and could even circumvent some spells. As an unfortunately consequence, however, the gas was somewhat slow acting, taking more time than most to fully effect its target. With Becky's slight form, however, that was unlikely to be an issue.

The spymaster felt confident that the plan would succeed, but ordered his men to remain in the shadows as they waited out the time it would take for the gas to knock the woman out and dissipate to levels at the which they could open the door and not rick being knock out themselves.

Becky had managed to extract a few precious drops of nectar while the gas slowly billowed into the room. It was only when it reached a density that it became actually visible that Becky recognized the gas around her. If she had her usual equipment this would have been easier, but Becky still wasn't one to give in easily. Her trained eyes quickly noted the slight color and source of the gas, taking in its density and other potentially useful information in an instant.

This situation was obviously far from ideal.

Luckily, however, Becky was an expert alchemist, surrounded by many of the best alchemical reagents this world had to offer. It would be difficult, but Becky had always been pretty quick on her feet when the need arose. Sure she was without most of her field supplies, and a storage closer was a far stretch from an actual laboratory, but surely with enough time, she could whip up an antidote!

Becky carefully slipped the island rose vial into a carefully hidden pouch sown into her dress, before turning to refresh herself on the other ingredients available.
