A new high score!

Your heart races every time you set off the sirens of the machine. Huge numbers fly up on the screen to reward your skill. The boss of level five knocks out your last life and it's game over.

The game didn't ask to insert more credits for more lives, but that doesn't matter. You got the high score of the machine.

No doubt it will be beaten shortly, but at least you were the first one to bless the scores with your initials and remove the first of the many 'AAA' scores. You press the confirm button and the screen goes blank. The whole machine seemed to have turned off.

Your heart sinks until a message appeared on the monitor. "Step back" appeared in white letters. You obey the machine in anticipation of what's going to happen.

The machine hums and you hear a loud clunk as the front of the machine opens up and releases a thick cloud of smoke. You can barely make out the silhouette of a human figure through the smoke.
