The chord hauls you off the edge of the building before you can react but you manage to scream out a warning to the other guards. You don't have time to see their response, you're more worried about the bullwhip-sized rope hauling you into the darkened dilapidated building. You fly in through a broken cement wall, narrowly avoiding bashing your head in on exposed rebar, and spot the captain struggling to reach her pistol. You rather wish you'd had the presence of mind to duck when the captain was hit, especially when you see what the "ropes" were connected to.

A siege-breaker. You and the captain were ensnared in its two tentacle-like antennae, which fold back and slam you into the creatures back as it turns, retreating into a dark tunnel with you and the captain in tow. You gasp and cough, trying to get the wind back in your lungs as the Captain thumps into you, the antennae holding you both tight to the creatures back.

"(cough) why is it (cough) taking us?"

"Not sure- but I get the feeling (cough) we don't want to find out!"

Struggling violently, she somehow managed to get ahold of her pistol, pointing it into one of the chinks in the beasts armor. You think back to how many times your entire company had to shoot the first two to keep them down.
