The Hall Of Mist

To your immediate left is a dark hall leaking mist along the floor and a soft cold breeze in the air which could be coming from the outside, maybe somewhere else. The floor just along the edge of the fog's reach peeks out, a hard kinda old plank wood that looks as if it has seen better days. There's no telling what the mist could be hiding, or if the mist itself isn't dangerous, but you steady your nerves and walk into the dark as the white fog around your calves acts as your guide, lighting a path through the ill lite hall with its color.

As you move, your feet kick up swirling tufts of mist. Your steps cause creeks as if old wood makes up the floor beneath. The walls slowly change over distance for your walk further inside from stone brick to old wooden manor walls with faded red colored pilers and a few tattered and torn paintings. Some vaguely depict nice ocean views or rolling green hills, through the running paint... And others are old, detailed sketches of people of every race, from humans to teiflings, in the act of sex. You then come to a nice wide ball room effected heavily by time. The center is a large light yellow marble circle under the fog. Along the sides of the room, there are well stitched chairs and long royal couches with a few holes and tares with a spring or two and some stuffing popping from the random holes.

At the other end is an old piano that has began to play an eerily and unfamiliar song similar to that of a waltz. Although the keys press with the somewhat dark sour tune, they have no pianist as their cause, just being played without even a body to graze the seat. Above, a cobweb covered metal chandelier sparks up with green fires and lights up the room for a short distance as it softly sways back and forth. A high, inhuman giggle rides with the air and echoes down the hall on the other side and behind you. You may not be alone.
