Talach - Mountain township

Xavier walked into the small town of Talach as the sun set over the mountains. Known for two things, the ore that came from beneath the mountains and the ale that was said to flow through the river.

Xavier was here for the second, although that was not all.

Walking through the taverna doors, the unbearably loud customers quieted at the sight of the man in black. Pulling back his hood, Xavier glanced amongst the men before nodding. Well known here, probably one of the only townships that would accept him without restraint, the quietness quickly dissipated at the residents began to chat once again.

Pulling up a chair at the bar, Xavier looked towards the bar tender and owner. Grigor had lived here since the town first rose and had kept this bar running since then.

"What will it be today, Xavier?" the orc questioned gruffly, setting down the mug he had been cleaning.

"A mug of Talon's ale and a plate of your wife's sliced boar," the assassin orders, clinking a few extra coins onto the counter. "As well as a room for the night," as he slides another stack of coins across, more than what the room was worth.

Grigor nodded, turning to go fetch the ale and boar. Xavier leaned against the counter, keeping an eye on both doorways as had become custom to him.

"Showing off that many coins at once is almost asking for someone to rob you. Not to mention that you paid extra as well," a voice stated from Xavier's right, the owner somehow having escaped his view until then.
