Aragorn's visitor
Aragorn spun the ornate dagger around in his hand, thinking back all the previous famous owners of the weapon. The dagger was handed to him by his father before he had died, and it had been passed down from father to heir since the Kings of Gondor had gone into exile and even before them from King to King. The dagger had seen much action in its time, and Aragorn kept it close at all times, as it had saved his life on many occasions. He watched the horsemen ride away from the house, Aragorn seemed to see some kind of commotion involving the horsemen, but thought that he would inquire about it with the home owner in the morning.
The woman he was waiting for was a (n)
A) Elf
B) Human

And she had been his appointed ‘guide’ by Lord Elrond of Rivendell, though she doubled as his lover on the side. She should’ve been currently on her way back from a conference with Elrond which she was summoned to the night before. Aragorn knew that she spied on him to Elrond, he knew that Elrond had lost all trust in men since Isildur failed to destroy the ring, and the fact that Aragorn had been raised in the House of Elrond did very little to change Elrond’s distrust in him.
Aragorn continued to puff out smoke rings from his pipe when a bird landed on the window sill outside his window. It appeared to be carrying a small scroll around its neck, as Aragorn unlatched the window and let the chilly night air flood into the room. He unwrapped the scroll from around the bird’s neck and read what it had to say:
“My dear friend,
My fears have been proven true, the One Ring has been found, we are all in mortal danger. I am sending a couple of Hobbits your way, I have told them that they will find you in the Inn of the Prancing Pony. I will also meet you there, but first I must meet with Saruman and discuss the growing danger we are all in. If for whatever reason I don’t make it there in a reasonable amount of time, don’t wait for me, I will catch up.
Gandalf the Grey”
Aragorn read the letter a few times, before slipping it into his pocket and letting the bird free once again. Aragorn shivered as he latched the window once more and took his cloak out of his pack. Aragorn soon heard a knock at his door, he recognized the light touch, but just wanted to be sure. He drew his dagger and asked “who is it?” To which he heard what he wanted to hear.
“It’s me you lunkhead!” The female voice said from the other side. Yup, that was Einis alright, he sighed. Einis had been born and raised in Rivendell and been taken under Elrond’s protection when her parents were ambushed by orc near the Misty Mountains. Aragorn swung open the door and expected a hug, or a kiss at least, but simply got an annoyed glance before she walked right past him.
“Tough day?” Aragorn asked.
“Don’t get me started.” As she started to drone on, Aragorn looked her up and down taking back in the sight of her even though she had only been gone a day. Her hair was

“You weren’t listening to a word I said were you?” Einis asked.
“I zoned out at don’t get me started.” Aragorn put his pipe back in his pocket and looked back down at the street from the window, all seemed to be in order again, there was no more sign of the horsemen.
“I have a lot to tell you from my meeting with Lord Elrond Aragorn…” Einis started.
