All through the drive to the cinema, their first destination, Eddie just couldn’t take his eyes off of the beautiful sight that is Alexis McQueen next to him. He really couldn’t believe that Alexis was actually by his side. They didn’t talked much, partly because they didn’t know or didn’t have anything good to say, but mostly because both of them were shy, this was after all, their first meeting in about three long years. Given the history they shared together, the tension was so obvious that one can cut it with a knife.

There was the occasional awkward silence, but Alexis didn’t mind. She knew how shy and nervous her companion was, which is another testament to Eddie’s boyish appeal. While Eddie was trying his best to fill the awkward silences, Alexis was actually happy with it, enjoying it rather. The awkward silences gave Alexis a chance to really observe Eddie. She had been very impressed with Eddie in their chat sessions, but she wanted to be sure that it was more than just words and whether he could really be trusted and whether he was truly genuine.

Eddie: I really think you’re one of the highlight of my life.
Eddie: I really mean that.
Alexis: Oh, okay.
Eddie: I’m sorry if I made you uncomfortable.
Alexis: That’s the thing…
Alexis: You’re very good with words.

Alexis observed the slightly panicked Eddie. He was so cute in her eyes. He was trying his best to make a good conversation, not to make his gorgeous companion bored, but Alexis wasn’t even near boredom, she was more intrigued with Eddie, and how innocent he was. Alexis knew how hard he was trying to impress her and make her comfortable. She now knows how genuine he is. She knows that Eddie wasn’t acting; he was being true to himself, just like the one that chatted with her, not the immature boy she first met 5 years ago.

Eddie Michaels was having a panic attack. He’s trying his best not to let Alexis get bored, at least not this early in the date. He realized that Alexis’s green twins are on his the whole drive, staring at him. “Is she bored with me already?” he thought worryingly as he continued to rack his brain for good topics to discuss with her. He believed that he had ran out of ideas, talking about everything from his life, his car and even the weather- twice, which brought out a cute giggle from Alexis when she pointed out that he already told her that the weather was ‘perfection’.

In what seem like an excruciatingly long drive in the brown-eyed man’s view, they finally arrived. Despite what Eddie thought, Alexis really enjoyed the drive, seeing how frantic and hard Eddie was doing, just to impress her. She really thought that it was hilarious, but at the same time she was honored and flattered. Eddie was sure he had blown the date away on that whole drive alone, which meant that he had to work multiple times harder to impress her on the date proper.
