The Kitchen

Sarah looked around in the kitchen. It was well stocked, and she realized that she could make a real dinner for Holly and Alex. Something nice and romantic. She looked around, and found a variety of spices, most of which she recognized, but some had handwritten labels. She picked one up. There was a piece of tape on it with "Mindlessness" written in black marker. The second one said "Paralysis". Were these ****? She decided not to use them, and to just try not to think of what her aunt used them for.

In the dining room, she found the liquor cabinet, but after she saw a similar label on one of the bottles, she closed it again. She also found some candles, in a box marked "Romantic." Whatever, she'd use them. But what she couldn't find in either room was an apron. She wasn't that messy, she thought, but she had ended up ruining her clothes before, and didn't want to again. Eventually, she decided to go upstairs and look in her aunt's room.

When she touched the doorknob, she received the largest static shock she'd ever experienced. It hurt. But she opened the door, and went to the dresser. She opened it, and was surprised to see an apron. And the apron was attached to a maid costume. She reached to grab the apron, planning on leaving the rest of the costume behind, but a thought struck her. A romantic evening where your best friend is hanging around might not be the best move. Maybe she should be Holly's maid for the day?
