Meeting Another Businesswoman

Sarah punched out a quit text.

"Be there soon."

She got a reply before she could even start the car.

"Me and the girls have a private booth. I'll get you the directions when you arrive."

She sighed. Today she was meeting Maria Le Cruix. French originally, but you'd never know it from the woman's accent. It was supposed to be a social gathering. A girls night out for some of the people she'd made friends with during the recent merger negotiations. It wasn't supposed to be work event. But, a girls night out with your companies most important client is always work event.

Sarah sighed and set the car moving. This was just supposed to be normal harmless fun. But, Maria had a reputation. One that Sarah couldn't help but pick up in the breakroom. It put a pit in her stomach.
