Someone wants to talk to you

"Excuse me sir, are you Mr. Watt?" a voice says from behind you as you start to open the cottage door.

"Watts," you answer, turning to see a pretty brunette girl standing a few feet away. She's dressed in tight leggings and a loose top, and there is no mistaking the athletic curves of her body.

"Sorry sir. Mr. Watts. I'm very pleased to meet you, my name is Valerie Cummins. I understand you're the new coach of the softball team." She holds out a slender hand to you to go along with a pretty smile. You're a little surprised to see that her eyes are red and slightly swollen, as if she's been crying, but you put that aside for the moment as you shake her hand.

"Pleased to meet you Valerie. I'm looking forward to coaching. Are you on the team?"

"Well....that's what I wanted to talk to you about Mr. Watt," she says, blushing and dropping her eyes. "If it's not too much, could I come in for a moment?"

"Certainly," you answer, opening the door and gesturing, slightly puzzled by the girl's request and by the signs of her distress. She bites her lip then gives you a slightly shaky smile before stepping into the cottage.

"I don't really know my way around," you say. "Why don't you take a seat in the living room?" You gesture to one of the rooms opening off a short entrance hallway, and Valerie steps into the room, choosing to sit in an upholstered chair. You leave your case by the door, and take a seat at one end of the couch, looking expectantly at the girl.

"What can I do for you, Valerie?" you ask, putting a reassuring smile on your face.

"Well...I'm on the team....the softball team that is...and the soccer team too...at least I was....but Ms. Naylor...the headmistress? She's mad at me...and she told me that...that I can't play..." she starts to sob. "And I love to play...I really do...It's really really important to me.....and I was hoping....hoping that you...that you could talk to her....please sir...please can you speak to her?
