Knock on the door and try a subtle approach

I took a deep breath, and removed a key from my keychain. I knocked on the door, and a few mins later heard a few doors open, and someone stop inside the door.. she must have been looking at me through the peep hole.

I stood back and held up the key

"Is this yours?"

The door opened, and Jayne stood there looking a bit annoyed

"Is that a key? Why would it be mine?"
