"Oh, you think so?" I said, miming as if to pull my shorts off.

"John!" Linda shrieked.

"I'm just kidding, Linda," I said. "After all, I don't want you fainting dead away at the sight of it." I laughed.

Shawna said, "Well, now I'm intrigued. You've got to show it now." SHe raised her eyebrows.

"Shawna," said Linda. "Quit it!"
