Chapter 7
by Shandy
What do you do now?
An unexpected invitation
As the day goes on, your sense of security increases, feeling sure that your theft will not be discovered quickly, if at all, and that it is unlikely to be traced back to you. You text Amy and tell her that you found a smoking deal on Cancun and that tickets are booked. She responds with a string of happy emojis and exultant thank yous.
Mr. Chandler returns from lunch but busies himself in his office. You have little to do, but make yourself look busy and efficient as you watch others come and go in the large office.
It's mid-afternoon when an older grey haired man strides up to you with a charming smile.
"Hello my dear, you must be John's new secretary," he says, offering his hand. "I'm Jim Gavin, would you kindly let John know I'm here for our meeting?"
"Right away sir," you smile as you get up, noting that his eyes miss nothing of your sweet young body. "My name is Lisa, and I'm only a temp. I'll announce you right away."
You tap on your bosses door and look in with a smile.
"Mr. Gavin is here for your meeting, Sir."
"Show him in, Lisa. And get us both some coffee, please." You smile at Mr Gavin and hold the door open for him, before swaying away to get coffee, twitching your rump a bit for their appreciation.
You return with a tray, bending to place it on the coffee table in front of the men, showing yourself off and smiling prettily at both of them.
"Thank you Lisa. I meant to introduce Mr. Gavin earlier. He's a senior vice-president here. Jim, this is Lisa. The temp agency sent her over to fill in while Meghan is away." Gavin rises and takes your hand, bowing over it like a Renaissance courtier.
"Charmed, my dear. Welcome to the office. I must say you are a delightfully attractive young woman."
You blush and wriggles faintly at the attention. "Thank you, Mr. Gavin. I'm very happy to be here."
"How long are you with us, my dear?"
"I'm not certain, sir. Until Mr. Chandler's secretary returns is what the agency told me."
"Well, we'll have to see what we can do about keeping you around. We can't afford to let a talent like yours disappear too easily. Of course, I'm assuming that you'd like to stay on. Presumptuous of me. Perhaps you have other arrangements."
"No sir. I mean no I don't have other arrangements. It would be great to stay on if possible," you smile and look at him from under slightly lowered lashes.
"Excellent. Very nice to meet you my dear." He lets your hand go and you smile and turn to leave. You've only gone a couple of steps before he stops you.
"Actually, my dear, something occurs to me." You stops and turn, smiling at him.
"It know it's abominably short notice, but I'm hosting a small party at my house this evening. Some of the senior executives, a few important clients, that sort of thing. I'd be delighted if you could come. It's always good to have some vibrant young people in the room to brighten things up. John tells me you're in law school, and it's also an excellent opportunity to meet some important people. That never hurts a young person's career. Are you free this evening? Or perhaps you have other plans?"
"No sir, no plans that can't be changed. I'd be happy to come," you reply with a happy smile.
"First rate, my dear," he says, taking your hand again. "Dress is evening wear, I hope that doesn't present a problem."
"Not at all sir, I have several suitable outfits," you nod, smiling at him.
"Excellent. Now don't worry about getting there, we'll send a limo for you. Be ready by six-thirty if you can."
"Certainly sir. Thank you so much Mr. Gavin. I really appreciate the invitation." He smiles at you again and releases your hand.
"Oh, while I remember, do you have a close friend that you might bring along? Hopefully an attractive young woman like yourself?"
"Yes sir, I could ask my best friend. I'm sure she'd love to come."
"And what is her name, my dear?"
"Amy. Amy Terrence. She's my age, very pretty, but with auburn hair." You give a little giggle. "People say we look very cute together."
"Perfect, my dear. You go and call her, and the limo will pick you both up at six-thirty."
"Thank you, Mr. Gavin. Thank you so much," you say, smiling at him then turning to sway out of the room, closing the door behind you. You phone Amy and tell her about the invitation. She gives a happy squeal at the idea of a party with wealthy and powerful men, and says she'll cancel the plans she had.
When Mr. Chandler escorts Mr. Gavin to the door of his office, you tell them that Amy is free for the evening and will be happy to accept the invitation. Gavin takes your hand and thanks you again, smiling courteously, telling you he looks forward to the evening, before strolling away.
"When you've finished up you can leave early Lisa," Mr. Chandler tells you. "Give me your address and I'll have the limo pick you up. I trust that it's no problem for Amy to be there too? It would save time."
"I've already arranged that, Mr. Chandler. We'll both be ready." You give him another smile and lean forward a bit to give him a view of her cleavage, and see him give a little grin before turning back to his office.
Twenty minutes later you tap on his door, holding your purse, your jacket is slung over one arm.
"If you don't need anything else, Mr. Chandler, I'll be leaving now," you say, stepping forward towards his desk.
"Nothing else, Lisa. You can run along. I hope you enjoy the evening."
"I'm sure I will, sir. And sir..."
"Yes Lisa?"
"I just wanted to thank you for introducing me to Mr. Gavin, and for the opportunity. I'd heard you were...well, a little harsh...but you're very nice...thank you again." You blush a bit and look at him from under flirtatious lashes. He stands and walks around the desk, smiling at you.
"No need to thank me Lisa. It's no more than you deserve." He gives your shoulder a friendly squeeze and you wriggle a little, then impulsively hug him, pressing your ripe orbs against him as he gently hugs you back.
"You're so nice," you say, squeezing him again, then breaking away and looking into his face. He smiles at you and pats your rump gently, ushering you towards the door.
"You better get going, you don't want to be late," he tells you. You sway away, giving him another look at your ass, smiling to yourself at how easy it is to manipulate men.
