Dodie

Dodie sat at her Ikea desk under her Ikea bed and was slumped forwards in frustration. She had only posted an announcement video the previous day in which she said she was doing VEDJ (a video every day in July), but on day two she was already short of ideas.

She picked up her ukulele and started experimenting, trying everything she could to spark an idea for a new song. She couldn't do it. "A vlog it is then," she said aloud to herself, "but what can it be about?"

She decided to watch a couple of her old videos to see if there was anything she could follow up. She came across one called "naughty dodie" and she watched herself telling a funny story from her childhood while she was in the bath.

"That was a fun video, maybe I could do that again," she told herself.

Scrolling through the comments she saw a lot of positivity and one that struck a particular cord with Dodie said that they admired her bravery in being naked for a video.

Dodie laughed off the idea initially, but the more she thought about it, the more fun she remembered it being.
