The Police Officer listens to your protests that the ID is in fact real, you reel off the name of the town you are from and a whole bunch of other information. Eventually when you have said your piece the Police Officer lets out a long sigh and then very politely but very firmly, asks you to come with her to the station so you can clear this all up.

You recognise the stance and the tone enough to know that if you try to make a fuss you will be on the ground and in handcuffs in seconds. Of course another reason to go with her is that you will have a better look at the city as a whole and will maybe be able to figure out where the hell you are.
