Nano Virus

Nanobots are injected into a patient where they replicate to a reasonable amount. Once they reach capacity they repair any damage tissue of the patient. After the tissue is repaired they should remain dormant till damage occurs again. They are programmed with limited AI that grows smarter the more nanobots are within a limited range

Description: Microscopic, nanobots cannot be seen by the naked eye unless they are in significantly large numbers in a confined space. Their main objective is to repair, but they can reshape and manipulate the host in whatever way its programming tells it.

Life Cycle: Nanobots replicate inside a host's bloodstream. Only one nanobot is needed to infect a person. Gestation period is typically a few hours as they use nutrients such as iron to build more nanobots. Hosts typically suffer a short fever as the body acclimates to their presence. Once nanobots reach capacity they can be transmitted via blood to blood contact.

Special Traits: Nanobots are man made. As such they could be programmed by an individual or allowed to operate by their hive mind AI. While it does require a human host to replicate it can survive outside the human body indefinitely until it comes in contact with another human host's bloodstream.
