Decide to take it slow and try a relationship first

"I just don't know, Gianna," you say. "I'm not quite comfortable with this, yet. But..." you pause. "Well, I've liked you for a long time, even before I knew about this, and--I know this might be weird timing, but would you go out with me?"

Gianna is taken aback by this, and spends some time thinking about it. "You know what, why not?" she says with a slow smile. "I haven't dated in a long time, and it's nice to be asked out by someone who already knows I'm 'packing.'" You make arrangements to take Gianna out to dinner...

THREE WEEKS LATER

You enter the office in the back of the bar. Gianna recently got the manager position, and you're visiting her on lunch break. She grins with anticipation when you close the door behind you. She's already taking off her jacket.
