Look in the mirror

Jake froze in fear. He looked around cautiously, but there was nothing interesting to see, except for the mirror. Jake stared at his own reflection, and, as always, his reflection stared out at him. Then, his reflection smiled, and stepped forward. Jake took a step back, but stumbled over some dolls, and fell. The doll of himself fell on the ground beside him. When Jake looked up again, his doppelgänger was standing over him.

"Hi, Jake", he said, with a wide grin. "It's nice to finally meet you."

"Wha-what happened?" Jake moaned. "Did I hit my head?"

Jake's double shook his head sadly.

"I thought you were smarter than that", he said. "Now, get up", he ordered.
